Sunday we were introduced to some neat trails right along the ocean in Torrey Pines. Jose and some guys from our home group had planned an overnight camping trip, however there were thunderstorms in that area so plans changed. They decided to take a little hike in Torrey Pines after getting a quick bite to eat after church. They kindly invited me along. The past couple weeks have been unusually hot for San Diego (90-100's) - I say unusual because anything that's not comfortable here is unusual when it comes to weather. We enjoyed cooling off in the ocean half way through the hike. It was a beautiful day.
Thankfully yesterday it cooled off back to the normal 70-80 degree weather with a nice breeze. Before Jose headed to work we took a walk on another path in Torrey Pines State Park. God's creation is beautiful and I'm so glad He allows us to enjoy it!
Last night we went over to Jeff and Kathy's home for dinner. They are a couple that just moved from New York to Escondido, CA so that Jeff can attend Westminster Seminary (http://www.wscal.edu/). They came from the Sovereign Grace Church there and now are coming to Grace Church. We then went to the Seminary for a welcoming of new students. All the faculty and students introduced themselves. Jose introduced us because he's taking Greek II and Ministry of the Word this fall. Greek II started today - no break in Greek. He just finished the first class on Tuesday. We are planning for Jose to go full time next year! We are continuing to pray for God's will.
