Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and happy new year! The past month was busy, as it was for most people. This post will summarize December - so it's lengthy.
My mom came to San Diego on my birthday (Dec. 7th) and celebrated with us.
We enjoyed beautiful weather by the beach.
We went to see the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Natural History Museum at Balboa Park. Then we hit up another favorite spot,Old Town, and ate Mexican food.
Someone from our church blessed us with tickets to the Pointsettia Bowl game - GO NAVY! Jacob and Sarah Portaro came along with us too. Unfortunately, Navy lost in the close game.
Saturday, December 22nd we went to Disneyland with our friends, Alex and Karen Sanchez. We're all kids at heart, so we had lots of fun. It was my first time to Disneyland, although I have gone to Disney World.
"It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all...." While standing in line they counted down and turned on all the pretty lights.

The parade and Christmas decorations.
Christmas Day I worked, which wasn't bad considering I got paid more and there was a big potluck. We celebrated Christmas Eve with Jose's dad and brother, Matt in Carlsbad. Jose and I took a walk on the lovely day.
This is what Jose and Matt spent a good amount of time doing.
We had a good meal together and played cards.
In the evening we went to the Christmas Eve service. Afterwards, our friends, the Fierros invited us over for food, fellowship and games.
Mmmmm...carnitas!
Game time.
Our little Christmas at home.
Thanks friends for the greetings, cards, and pictures!
The Lord has blessed us in so many ways! Thank you God for sending your one and only Son, Jesus, to come into this sinful world and take our punishment, so that we may spend eternity with you!
